What to Expect at This Event
Our city is full of dreamers, doers, thinkers, movers and shakers. Throughout Baltimore, we see beautiful wall murals on our city blocks. We see photographs hanging in brand new office spaces, restaurants, shops, and other businesses. We buy art at festivals and street fairs. But did you ever stop and wonder about the people behind the art? Who are they? What does their work entail? Come and meet the dreamers, doers, thinkers, movers and shakers of the art world who make Baltimore a more colorful place. As home of MICA, Artscape, Creative Alliance, and AVAM (to name a few), we are immersed in creative individuals that bring life to our city. Our panelists include Michael Owen, artist and creator of Baltimore Love Project, Webster Phillips III, Documentary Photographer, Archivist, and Manager of the IHenry Photo Project, and Cristen Hoyt, a self taught artist who uses many mediums and creates work for public spaces and art abandonment. Join us as we learn about their work, their business, and why this city sparks their passion.

About LinkedIn Local
What started out in 4 cities with 4 people in June 2017 has now grown into #LinkedInLocal events in over 100+ cities covering every single continent. #LinkedInLocal is a meetup concept originally created by Anna McAfee with the purpose to meet the online LinkedIn connections face-to-face, offline. It was then developed by Erik Eklund, Alexandra Galviz, and Manu Goswami who added themes, speaker panels and workshop elements with the purpose to unite people from all walks of life, in one facilitated event, to genuinely get to know the humans behind the LinkedIn profiles, and connect beyond the job titles, business cards and company names.
These events are curated to bring our tribes together and remind ourselves why it’s important to connect out of the digital world. How our job titles, degrees and backgrounds are just a fraction of who we are and that we have the capacity to be more and to do more when surrounded by the right people.
